Arrow McLaren SP with brand new livery for Alonso’s third Indy 500

Will it be third time lucky for Alonso at the famous race in a attempt to complete his challenge to win the Triple Crown races, GP of Monaco, 24 Hours Le Mans and Indy 500.

This year delayed race due to Corona crisis will take place in August. Alonso will compete with new Arrow McLaren SP team powered by Chevy and with new colours.

In his first Indy 500 in 2017 he had a profound preparation for the race, competing with Andretti Autosport powered by Honda. He had a great race, being in for a shot for win right till the very end, when bad luck struck and his Honda engine blow up.

He skip 2018 due to his Formula 1 obligations and in 2019 was his second attempt, this time with team McLaren and Chevy engine. But they failed to properly prepare their car and Alonso didn’t manage to qualify for the race.

There is fresh optimism for this year and Arrow McLaren SP presented their car and new livery. Team up with full time Indy Car drivers Pato O’Ward and Oliver Askew, Alonso will drive No.66 Ruoff Mortgage Arrow McLaren SP Chevrolet at the 104th Indianapolis 500 on August 23.
